Surviving
a Break Up
|
He just broke up with
you! What now? Five quick tips to ease your
heart and walk away.
|
|
 |
| • |
Get a new look. Begin
working out, buy a new outfit or change
your hairstyle. YouÍll feel like a new person,
ready to meet a new man.
|
| • |
Make a list. Do an
inventory of all the things you disliked
about your ex. Although it may seem spiteful,
it's a great thing to pull out when you
bump into him and his date at the movie
theatre.
|
| • |
Stay busy. Help out
your mom, go out with friends, start a new
hobby. Whatever it takes to keep your mind
occupied.
|
| • |
Avoid getting together.
When either of you is upset, it's easy to
call each other up, get together for a coffee...and
get sentimental. Think about the reasons
you broke up and maintain perspective. A
break up is easier in the long-run if you
avoid each other earlier on.
|
| • |
Don't gossip. Of course
you wouldn't do that! But it's worth mentioning.
Avoid discussing the relationship with mutual
friends or blaming him for the break-up.
Be mature and keep the ugly details to yourself.
