Once you have identified
someone who interests you, it is time to introduce
yourself. Write a casual, conversational email
that is not overly intimate. Include some brief
information about yourself, and then ask a few
questions. Mention something you noticed in his
or her profile.
As you begin to exchange
messages, you'll grow more comfortable. Set the
mood, flirt, and get creative. But don't go overboard
- email can end up in someone else's hands.

Contact each other regularly |
As you get to know each
other better, connect regularly and in a variety
of ways. This might mean meeting in a chatroom,
messaging or talking on the telephone. If you
like each other, respond promptly. If you're starting
to feel something, tell them about it.
If you want to take it to
the next level, ask to meet in person. If you
wait too long to do this, the first meeting may
become awkward and anticlimactic. Your first meeting
could be as casual as going to the same party...
to establishing a real date.
